With its lively dynamism, the Waves service creates a maritime atmosphere and enriches any table with the brilliant lustre for which Meissen porcelain is famous.
It took the Meissen modellers working under Sabine Wachs 3 years, from 1993 to 1996, to create this complete porcelain service, a triumph of design to usher in the new millennium.
The new 39-piece series revisits the undulating, pointed curves of classic service designs, reinterpreting their forms in a contemporary way. Wachs contrasts the rigid symmetry of historic designs with a lively dynamism: the movement of the waves flows through varying contours and is evident on every piece in the collection.
