Description
The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the exceptional beauty and uniqueness of its many hand-painted services. Its masters have always been skilled at renewing the patterns of services made up of thousands of pieces, rooted in centuries-old craft traditions, and at adapting them to the expectations of new customers.
The pattern is inspired by the motifs of 16th-century Japanese kakemono porcelain. Its ornamental design is characterised by stylised Far Eastern flowers arranged around tiny rosettes. This lively pattern owes its name to an admirer, Baron Waldstein, who in 1842 commissioned a Herend service bearing the family crest and the motto: "per laborem et dolorem ad honorem".
Pattern available in six colours, with a pure gold finish.
