Description
The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the special beauty and uniqueness of its many hand-decorated services. Its masters are always skilled at renewing the patterns of services comprising thousands of pieces and rooted in centuries-old craft traditions, and at adapting them to the expectations of new customers.
The pattern is inspired by the motifs of 16th-century Japanese kakemono porcelain. The ornamental motif is characterised by a composition of stylised Far Eastern flowers around tiny rosettes. This lively design owes its name to one of its admirers, Baron Waldstein, who, in 1842, commissioned such a Herend service bearing the family crest and the motto: "per laborem et dolorem ad honorem".
Pattern available in six colours with a pure gold finish.
