Set of 6 Striche small bowls, black and gold

A simple yet highly elegant decoration, that of Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1765's 'Striche nere e Oro' (Black and Gold Striche) line, featuring black radial stripes edged with a fine stroke of gold.

Created by Cozzi himself in the late 18th century, the decoration's geometry is so refined that it inspired all the other porcelain manufacturers.

In particular, this version of the decoration, which can be produced in many colours and combinations that remain modern and elegant, was originally created as a bespoke design for the banqueting hall of a prestigious Italian hotel.

The Striche Nero e Oro decoration proved so popular that it was added permanently to the collections.
