Apponyi fleur plates
Dinner service with Indian basket pattern by Herend, available in various colors
Description
The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the exceptional beauty and uniqueness of its many hand-painted services. Its masters have always been skilled at renewing the patterns of services made up of thousands of pieces, rooted in centuries-old craft traditions, and at adapting them to the expectations of new customers.
This elegant pattern arose from a simplification of the "Indian Flower Basket" pattern. The idea came from Count Albert Apponyi in the second half of the 19th century, who enlarged a detail of the original. In the resulting pattern, the central detail, a Chinese rose surrounded by scattered flowers and garlands, keeps its proportions.
Pattern available in various colours, with a pure gold or platinum finish. A blue-only version, which is dishwasher safe, is also available.
