Venezia 1600 dinnerware set
Dinner service 1600 Venezia, Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1765
Description
According to tradition, the foundation of the city of Venice dates back to March 25, 421, the day on which, according to the 11th-century ancient Chronicon Altinate collection, the first stone was laid that began the process of settlement in the area of Rivus Altus or Rialto (an island slightly higher than the others) along with the consecration of the Church of San Giacometo.
In fact, during the early 400s Italy was invaded by barbarians and the lagoon represented an ideal place to take refuge since the invaders used to move on horseback.
In 2021 Venice therefore celebrates the 1600-year anniversary ab urbe condita.
The historic Venetian brand Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1763 has decided to join the celebrations by dedicating a special, exclusive and refined collection to Venice.
The Gothic architecture of the prestigious Venetian palaces, with Byzantine and Oriental influences, is a wonder unique in the world: the Ca' D'Oro and the Palazzo Ducale are masterpieces and symbols of the city of Venice. Here the balconies and friezes of their façades and loggias are reproduced on cups, mugs and trays in the typical Venetian iron red.
