Set of 6 Striche tea/cappuccino cups without saucers, orange and gold
Pack of 6 tea/cappuccino cups without saucer Striche, Geminiano Cozzi Venezia 1765
Description
The pattern of the "Striche Arancio e Oro" line was originally created for an Italian grand hotel, taking its cue from the geometry of the Striche Verdi e Oro line, created by Geminiano Cozzi himself in 1770 and a source of inspiration for all porcelain factories of the time.
The design is simple, almost "abstract" in the strictest sense of a search for pure form through colour and geometric shapes, but the result is extremely classy: orange radial stripes are framed by a fine gold brushstroke, which adds an incredible touch of refinement.
Striche Arancio e Oro is the dinner service chosen by the 5-star luxury Grand Hotel Tremezzo on Lake Como.
