Description

Leonardo Ranucci, 2009

Sensual in form and movement, they dance mysteriously in the enchanted nights of the Orient, inspiring the creations of Leonardo Ranucci.

After Raffaello Sanzio, Matisse and Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, the mysterious allure of the odalisques captures Leonardo Ranucci, who imprints their features on glass.

Above its feminine forms, it widens into a ring with a turban, the odalisque symbol inspired by the furnace painting. A fascinating celebration of Oriental beauty, the vase is sinuous and soft.

Technical details

Leonardo Ranucci collaborates with Venini

A free and inventive approach to industrial design: this is the path taken by Leonardo Ranucci's consultancy, which has overseen, in Italy and abroad, the creation and development of major jewellery and fashion brands, charting new trends.

A jewellery designer by passion, he develops his precious ideas by drawing on stylistic contrasts: art and experimentation, rigour and fantasy, essentiality and elaboration, ethnic references and technological innovation merge in his works into a coherent, harmonious whole, giving life to an unmistakable style that looks to the future, as eclectic as it is flexible.

The echo of constant travel feeds new inspiration, fragments of beauty and poetry reinterpreted in a modern key. In 2003 he entered the world of Venini, moving from classic jewellery to glass.
