Labuan vase, 2019 reissue

Venini 1933

It is not only the pages of Salgari that carry Italians off to unknown lands: orientalism and exoticism remain so fascinating that they inspire the shape of glass.

Tales and mysteries of the Orient, dreams of once distant lands. Soft and sinuous shapes. Dances, sounds, mystery. Can a vase evoke a world?

The Labuan collection is the answer.

It is inspired by distant lands, between fantasy and reality. Paolo Venini dresses it in aquamarine, horizon and other unique, precious hues, then takes it all over the world to be admired. The journey of the Labuan vase goes from east to west and back: begun in 1933, it is still ongoing.
