Idria vase

From the Greek hydria, the name itself recalls the water that was traditionally carried in this type of amphora. In its forms, Idria tells a story with the charm of ancient everyday ritual. Venini transforms the ancient vessel from terracotta into glass. Its lines speak of rhythms that no longer exist and bring them back to life, revealing how much beauty is timeless. The Idria vase is inspired by the past and by tradition, yet it is among the most recent creations.

Technique: blown opaline glass, obtained by layering lattimo with other glass; the opaline glass is blown and worked by hand
