Apponyi green plates
Dinner service with Indian basket pattern by Herend, available in various colors
Description
The Herend manufactory owes its fame to the special beauty and uniqueness of its many hand-decorated services. Its masters are always skilled at renewing the patterns of services comprising thousands of pieces and rooted in centuries-old craft traditions, and at adapting them to the expectations of new customers.
This elegant pattern arose from the simplification of the "Flower Basket of the Indies" pattern. The idea came from Count Albert Apponyi around the second half of the 19th century, who enlarged an original detail. In the resulting pattern, the central detail, formed by a Chinese rose surrounded by scattered flowers and garlands, retains its proportions.
Pattern available in various colours, with a pure gold or platinum finish. There is also a version with blue decoration only, which is dishwasher safe.
