The saucepan is intended for preparing food that requires long or fairly slow cooking and needs to be stirred. Saucepans are usually cylindrical with two handles, but the small version comes with just one handle, ideal for small quantities.

You can cook many dishes in a saucepan: nothing stops you from using it to boil vegetables or short pasta, to make a broth or a soup, or for deep frying, taking advantage of its capacity and depth.
